Back when abortions were illegal in the U.S., “there was a third floor in Mexico and a basement in Brooklyn.” Let perspective be your guide as We Were Hardly More Than Children talks us through the struggle of two friends in 1969 when illegal abortion meant danger, despair and discrimination for many young women. Now, in 2019, bills are being signed in many states across the country banning abortions and/or making them more difficult to get. Her body, her choice!
